They impress by actually remembering the setting when you use the touch switch to adjust the brightness when you turn it off with the switch. Unfortunately, without power, they don't remember the settings, and if there is a power failure at the USB port, they forget where they were. They turn back on after power is restored, but at full brightness. Quality control seems poor, there was one dead light (warm white) in a batch of 10 - tried multiple USB ports, they all worked with other lights but couldn't get the faulty one to show up.
