Review on Dirza Hanger Garage Bicycle Storage by Matthew Ciula

Good for the price, but not very good equipment

The biggest hurdle with installation is finding a stand for the wall. Well, if you still have a box and plastered walls. All you need to install the mount is a stud finder, pencil, punch (one of the screws will work itself), spirit level, drill press, a set of sockets (10mm) or at least an adjustable wrench and some Loctite for use on a cross bolt. However, there are problems with how this is designed. A small issue is that the mount is not flat where the mounting holes are. Another thing is that there is an odd spacing between the cross bolts. This results in a large movement of the mount when mounting and dismounting the bike. The main problem is that the cross bolt is both the pivot point for lifting the mount and the main mechanism for holding it. This means that the entire weight of your bike rests on the center of this bolt. The manufacturer had to add a small steel cross piece at the front and bottom to hold the weight. Only time will tell if it holds up.
