Not all USB-C ports support all alternate modes, so having a USB-C port does not guarantee this device will work. For example, my Asus G752 laptop is not compatible. This results in the device being installed as a "billboard device" as mentioned in many other reviews. This requires specific hardware that is NOT common to all USB Type-C connectors. I am giving this product a negative review as the product description here on Revain does not inform people of this requirement and I now have to return it. Please check if your USB Type-C port supports alternate modes before purchasing. If not, don't buy. Otherwise, the build quality seems to be quite good. The plastic is pleasantly shiny and lies quite firmly in the hand. The cable is very short, but you can see it in the photo.
