This is just a JBOD box with separate power supply and USB 3.1 interface. It's easy to use, which is good because there are no instructions. The body is solid, the compartments are made of thin plastic. However, the fans are quite quiet. It's not possible to spin up each drive except with software, but I've had no problems. You may need an app to start the drive, or just shut them all down, turn the device off and on again. The power supply makes a pretty solid impression. You can install SSD drives in the bays. A minor annoyance: my kit came with a faulty cable. If you're having slow transfer times, try a decent cable. You can also try flipping the USB-C end, one side worked better than the other but I just bought a real cable. So it's a waste of time, but overall this box does the job and was easy to use on my computer with WIN 10. The cooling temperatures were fine. There's no way to adjust the fans by fiddling with the innards, but you'll want the fans to stay on and not get in the way. It would be nice if the case was more noise-isolating, but there are some rubber or silicon bits that help with vibrations, although they're not strong noise cancellers. Got a decent interface if you want fast transfer times.
