I tried removing the lightbulb and the first thing is that it doesn't even fit around the base of the lightbulb (it's too small) . Second, I was able to wiggle it a bit to get a little grip on the bulb, and the slider knob for holding the bulb puller is too hard to hold (it doesn't snap, you have to hold that with your thumb). Since it's useless to me given those two things, I figured I'd try putting a piece of metal in there to hold the button forward and that completely destroyed the button. So yes, it's my fault, but it was worth the effort. On the plus side, it can be nice to know if something in my house is connected to power (Christmas lights or whatever), so I'm hoping there's still power. use anything other than the lamp puller.
