Works great for my opinion

I purchased this for a specific purpose. Allows me to tell if there is current in a wire before working on outlet etc.I tested it on both 110V and also on my ipad charging cable. simply touch it to the outside of the cable and it beeps if there is current. In heavier shielded wire (power cord to compter monitor it does not register so have to test closer to the plug.If your doing electrical work, this is a must have so you do not touch/cut "hot wires"

Pros
  • The VT500 model is designed with ergonomic features that make it comfortable to hold and use for extended periods of time
Cons
  • The voltage indicator is not always clear

For the price, it's great

I like the sensitivity of the tester when looking for A/C using induction. I also like that it has a bare metal tip so you can test for live A/C by touching the wire. I won't be trying out the continuity test, sorry! This tester is considerably better than my other plastic tipped tester that is not nearly as sensitive and can't test exposed wires directly to see if they are live.

Pros
  • Works as advertised. I use it to check for live circuits and to isolate broken wires in a cable.
Cons
  • Not easy to read.

Feature packed on my review.

Likes:It uses a standard AAA battery rather than a hard-to-find button battery like my old tester. It has beeps plus has a digital readout of the voltage. My old one just beeped. The screen glows green for low voltage and red for high voltage. This has a LED flashlight, although not real bright its more than my old tester had.You can use this to test the polarity of a battery. It's a plus but I don't see the need to do that too often. This also has a continuity tester. You have to actually touch…

Pros
  • The KAIWEETS Voltage Tester is extremely versatile, offering both non-contact and contact testing modes
Cons
  • The voltage tester is not rugged enough for industrial use

Works well enough for me, like the LED and backlight

My last non contact works but is limited after a drop. There's no adjustments in sensitivity to make this "work" or not. I'm not going to write on if it's precise because my skill set is limited, I intend to use this with household simple fixes investigation. Nothing very sophisticated or high end electronic repair. If my savvy inlaws borrow, it I may update then. For the extra features, it includes instructions on how. If your skill level can't discern them and feel confident, don't use these…

Pros
  • The buzzer alarm is a helpful alert for those who are hard of hearing or working in noisy environments
Cons
  • The size of the product is too big to carry around in the pocket

Better With Contact

I already had one of these that seems to work but it's adjustable and I don't always feel I can 100% rely on it. So I thought I'd try two more and this one I liked because of the digital readout, which seemed an extra bonus.I may be missing something but this seems to have low sensitivity when trying to detect voltage. When holding it near an outlet, for instance, this thing is silent until you place the probe right on the slot for for "hot" -- the narrower slot. Otherwise, nothing. If I…

Pros
  • The LCD display provides easy-to-read results, making it simple to identify potential issues
Cons
  • The product's battery life is not satisfying

What do you want it for

I need a tester that is a no contact that I can use without undoing my low voltage lighting in the yard. To say this works as it should that would be a lie does it work in a perfect area where all is good yes, but that is not the case if you have this unit in your hand wondering around your yard. So, it seems I will be sending this back and once again start looking for a reader that does what the manufactures clime it does.

Pros
  • I needed something to test some outlets. Worked great!
Cons
  • The wire breakpoint finder is not very sensitive

An imprecise tool for my opinion

When Halloween came around this year we hooked up our inflatables and . promptly burned out our only exterior outlet. Never had that problem before, but we worked around it by running an extra long cord to the electrified shed . and burned that outlet out too. This was a much bigger problem, because the shed charges my other tools and it meant I effectively couldn't use any of them.It turns out that the original outlet was on the same circuit as the shed, but we didn't know that and couldn't…

Pros
  • The KAIWEETS Voltage Tester is designed to be intuitive and user-friendly, with a simple interface that can be mastered quickly
Cons
  • The VT500 may take a long time to detect voltage in some cases

Works well: my feedback

For the price it is a good tool to have. There are some short comings that come with it though. I have a hard time making the display warn me that I am touching a hot connection on newer type outlets. The rather large metal tip won't let you in deep enough, but older outlets do. I tested it with another higher end tester and even though its metal tip is encased in plastic it is thin enough to read that you have a hot wire in the newer outlet. The LED light is not as robust as the more expensive

Pros
  • Special Function
Cons
  • Non-contact testing does not always work

I got this voltage tester just to use as a quick and easy tool to check whether a wire is live, without needing to contact the metal or deal with multiple probe connectors like a digital multimeter has. I have a non-working ceiling fan to replace and this seems well worth the money for the added safety check before I start touching the wires. It works perfectly for that with AC-powered wires. When I put the probe against any insulated wire in my house plugged into an outlet, the device beeps…

Pros
  • The compact size of the tester makes it easy to store in a toolbox or drawer when not in use
Cons
  • The product's design is not ergonomic

Works exactly as described and easy to use

This works great and is perfect for a Do-it-yourselfer like me. I'm adding some additional outlets in my garage and also remodeling a bathroom, so this is coming in handy for my rewiring.Small and compact but yet works great and is accurate when reading the voltage.I like that it has a buzzer alerting me to an energized circuit. I find myself using this feature quite often and makes for quick checking of the wiring. The continuity part of this works great as well even though this isn't something

Pros
  • Alarm Mode
Cons
  • The product's buttons are not very responsive, making it hard to operate

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Not accurate NOT SAFE!

I was a little leery when I ordered this. A one probe voltage tester just sounds wrong. I have been building electronic equipment and wiring higher voltage for many years, up to 480 volt irrigation plants out on the farm. So I was a little surprised when I opened the box and found a tool that looks to be well made and actually does most of what they claim it will do. With one lead it really does tell which wire is the hot one on AC. It does estimate the voltage and if all you need is to know…

Pros
  • The KAIWEETS Voltage Tester is a cost-effective solution for those seeking to troubleshoot electrical issues without hiring a professional
Cons
  • The wire breakpoint finder is not very accurate

Does the job. - my new review

A solid NCV. The display was easily visible and I liked the auto turn-off. It was getting different readings than my Fluke meter, but I got this just to have handy to check for live outlets. Of course, this device will confirm that an outlet is "live," but I never 100% trust a NCV to tell me a circuit is "dead."Not sure what the value of a battery polarity checker is.that should be pretty obvious for most batteries.Likewise the "screwdriver." It looks like one good twist and that…

Pros
  • Not much to say easy to use and is accurate
Cons
  • The product is not very lightweight, making it cumbersome to use

Interesting - my new review

Kaiweets really makes some advanced tools, and yet, is at the low end of the price spectrum.this tester works as advertised and is quite interesting.as a HOT tester, it works well. and determines differences in voltage by the closeness of the beepsit also tests for continuity, by using your body as a conductor, grab one wire, put probe on the other, it works remarkably well, which makes sense as your body is nearly all water, a good conductor. just be sure the line is dead first! ;) It also…

Pros
  • The buzzer alarm and LCD display work together to provide clear and accurate results every time
Cons
  • The non-contact testing feature does not work reliably after extended use

I find this pretty useful. Mostly because it had a readout vs just an audible alert. I’m still learning how to use this but it appears to be more capable than the basis beeping indicators. That’s appreciated!Oh, and I also love that I can be sure its "off”, where was the ones that turn off on their own have always bothered me since I can’t confirm they’re off.

Pros
  • The wire breakpoint finder is a valuable tool for identifying hidden problems in electrical systems
Cons
  • The wire breakpoint finder may need to be recalibrated frequently

Useless device and dangerous. Holding the device in my hand, plastic only, got shocked wherever I tested with it. The buzzer alarm is not loud enough to be heard in noisy environments!

Pros
  • Great tester, perfect small size, easy to use and saves a lot of time. Highly recommend
Cons
  • The buzzer alarm is not loud enough to be heard in noisy environments

A Must Have for Electrical Work.

I recently put in two closet lights and realized I should REALLY have a voltage tester. This unit was a good value and it works great. It makes electrical jobs so much easier because you don't have to wire things up trial and error. I'm pleased to have this. It will make the electrical things I do around the house safer. No one wants to zap themselves putting in a light fixture.

Pros
  • Did not work well. Returned
Cons
  • The KAIWEETS Voltage Tester is not durable

Nice hotstick good for me

While is nice hotstick, is OK for testing circuits, but rather a not recommended for individuals that is not experienced or have knowledge with electricity.

Pros
  • The live/null wire detection feature helps users identify which wire they are working with, reducing confusion and increasing accuracy
Cons
  • The VT500's live/null wire detection is too sensitive, causing false readings

Easy to use best in my review

This voltage tester is lightweight and compact. When voltage is detected, the sound it makes is not too loud. Also, it is convenient to use as a screwdriver. The display is bright enough to see information in the dark. I have nothing negative to say about it.

Pros
  • Safety Level
Cons
  • The battery compartment is flimsy and can easily break

Nice voltage tester

This voltage Tester is nicely designed works well small compact fits in your pocket or tool bag.So far I'm pleased with it.

Pros
  • The non-contact feature eliminates the need for direct contact with electrical circuits, making it safer to use
Cons
  • The voltage tester is prone to overheating

Work as advertised good for me

I replaced a few outlets and I got this tester to help make sure the wires were not hot anymore before I open and replace them. This tester worked as advertised and I was able to safely replace my outlets.

Pros
  • The tester is compatible with a wide range of electrical systems, ensuring it can be used in a variety of settings
Cons
  • The product can be unreliable under certain scenarios
