Review on Melissa & Doug Bead Sequencing Set - 46 Wooden Beads, 5 Double-Sided Pattern Boards by John Love

excellent educational toy, the quality of the product decreases as the difficulty increases

This should be a great product but the quality disappoints. The product is a wooden box (like most Melissa & Doug products). The box is covered with a thin, hard sheet of plastic that you need to put back on the box. This should work fine, but it won't work unless you carefully put all the pieces back in the box. It takes a little while. For a busy parent, I find that tiring. You can fix that with better packaging! I also find that if you don't store the toy in a horizontal position, the foil will make the pieces fall out! The toy itself consists of a set of wooden sticks that you insert into holes in a wooden box, and there are cards with different shape sequences for your child to copy. It's great to help your kids understand the different shapes and sequences. I gave this product 3 stars as I felt the packaging was completely disappointing for a great toy.
