This part fits 2003 Subaru Outback rear brakes and may also fit other years. I had to replace the original because the mounting bolts were binding so badly it took me a 1050ft wrench to loosen them. Neither the shackle nor the bolts were nearly unthreaded and both had to be replaced. The hardened replacement bolts (not from Revain but found from Auto Zone) were cadmium plated and I would have preferred an iron plating as well. to avoid repeating the original problem. The lack of coverage is why I only gave 3 stars to a quality product. I couldn't use anti-seize compound on the screws as it changes the torque required and I couldn't use blue Loctite as it doesn't completely seal the threads. to prevent corrosion. Loctite and a few other brands make an anaerobic, Teflon-filled sealant for fluid fittings (Loc-tite Lock-and-Seal). Again, with proper coverage, this would not be necessary.
