Review on 🚗 Bilstein 24011044 Shock Absorber - Engineered for Optimal Performance by Carlos Krueger

Revainrating 5 out of 5

1998 Astro 2WD - regressive damping curve. Body movements are well controlled. Stiffness is better than stock.

They were part of a 1998 Chevy Astro 2WD Van. I replaced DelAlum bushings in the front A-arms and the ball joints with Moog. I have standard tires P225/75R15. Before the shock change, the van was a bit intimidating cornering at 65 mph with a little wobble when underdamped. Now body movements are well controlled without jerking. Turning on is sharper. The woman even notices the difference. You can rip through speed bumps at 25 mph with little to no body movement. The valve block appears to be well ventilated, making for a fairly smooth ride over potholes and bumps. The shock curve definitely appears to be receding as announced. Relatively expensive, but worth the money. The next step is the swing.
