This product advertises that it can be plugged into any computer and made it work. The instructions provided with the product are intended for a much more limited use. If you are not familiar with computers and use Windows 10, the operating system should be an older program with available drivers and an optical drive. Otherwise, you need to install drivers and provide working software. Apart from the disadvantage mentioned, this is a good compact and functional optical drive.
