this is a wonderful light! I use next to my stove with a black hob. There is no plug or place for a regular lamp near the stove, so I bought this to have some extra light while cooking. The light is not bright enough, it hurts the eyes. It emits enough light to counteract the "black hole" effect that the hob gives. The variety of settings on the remote control is amazing! It has four brightness settings for each color including white. There are four different settings for "fading" etc. that also work for any color. I didn't use it enough to charge the battery. The kit does not include a plug for charging from an outlet. I assume that it can be charged via the USB port on the computer. I highly recommend this lamp!
