You have to be honest about your cat's litter box habits. If they often get wet outside of the crate (not overshoot, but outside of the crate) these types of cabinets may not be for you as they are not solid wood and once the urine seeps under the liner over the chipboard, you will get that smell have there forever. If your kitten is having a hard time keeping them in the box, I recommend using a high-sided litter box. Nature's Miracle makes a box that's nearly 11 inches tall with a sunken 'inlet' on one end. What I liked about this box is that it's low enough for a kitten to climb in, but the legs allow you to vacuum and clean underneath as dirt will inevitably be thrown out. We used a trimmed litter box in a small "hallway" and added a motion sensor above the litter box for our older cat to use at night and found there were fewer accidents and she was more willing to use the crate.
