I got this 25ft USB AB cable because I mean wanted to rip vinyl albums to MP3, at least these are not yet available on CD or MP3. Why do I need such a long cable? Because the player is across the room from where I'm sitting with my laptop. That's easy. Sending audio over USB has very low bandwidth. The bandwidth of USB 2 is hundreds or even thousands of times greater than the bandwidth required for very high quality audio sampling rates. For that reason, I'm not particularly concerned that cable length is (and isn't) a big deal. The cable itself is well made, with well-made connectors, molded handles and strain relief, and the cable size is a little heavier than average. . Still quite flexible. Seems to be mechanically well made. I like the orange and black color scheme. This length makes copying my vinyl library much more comfortable while sitting on the couch. Much better than sitting on a folding chair next to a home theater wall! Because this colorful USB cable made my life a little bit better when ripping my albums, I give it 5 stars. You could call it a printer cable, but for my purposes it works the same way.
