Difficult to use in soldering stations

This article is ok, basically exactly what I was looking for. I wanted to use this to paint the model, so I immediately removed the metal spool, which I don't need. The assembly immediately showed some design flaws, each rod for vertical and horizontal attachment of clamps and light can (must) be individually tightened and adjusted. That's fine, as there are a few additional customizable settings, but since the cheat way helps, it can cause the whole thing to fall apart. The included LED light is bright enough to see your hand in a dark room when you hold it up to your face, but that's about it. The light won't offer much magnification to help you see detail unless you're working in the dark to begin with. My subjective experience with it was pretty bad. I don't use glasses, but when drawing I had a hard time seeing the details in the thumbnails. Using this product is actually harder for me than not gaining weight. First you need to get the focus point right and as I mentioned clamps would be great for this if the connections weren't so flimsy. I found holding objects under glass when drawing was awkward, and I was constantly trying to focus on objects. The gong between glass and normal vision is still something my eyes had to do, and for the minimum magnification I could see the whole process with this item seemed far more of a hassle than it was worth. The item is as advertised, I just don't think it's really as useful as I thought it would be. Maybe a prettier version with better detail will change my mind, but for now I'll just use my eyes.
