High-quality stand made almost entirely of metal. I've had my share of cheap plastic coasters that break right after the return window. It gives you a good sense of quality when assembling and has a sturdy repair stand when you work on the bike. Here's what I used to mount a repair stand to the garage wall in my apartment building. 1) 1x 2x6-4 "Project Wood" purchased from Lowes. 2) 2 x 3/8 flat washers 3) 2 x 3/8 flat washers 4) 2 x 3/8-4" wood screws [You can use a smaller size if mounting directly to the tree]. Total mounting hardware cost was $10 I drilled 5/16 holes in the studs and installed wood. Attach support plate to wood with included screws. To me 20 minutes (because I screwed up the first time) I tested it on the heaviest bike, which I had (about 30lbs) and felt fairly stable.Will try it later with my road bike clamped to the seatpost to see if it works reliably.Wish they had a portable stand for the same kit.If So when you're not at home, leave the wall mount behind but take it with the rest.
