50 footers Runs at 1080p; Not sure about 4K.

PREVIEW: I needed a 50ft HDMI cable with 4K output support from my OPPO UDP-205 to my LG 4K TV and I needed it the same day. More on that later: Sending a 4K signal over a 50ft cable is definitely a gamble, although there are cables that can do it for a higher price. Now there is a difference between a cable that "supports 4K" and a cable that actually supports 4K. For simplicity, any player connected to a display device such as a TV or projector uses the display device's EDID to determine the type of signal the player should send. If the display device sends player information identifying the display device as 4K, the player (usually) tries to adapt by sending the correct signal and everything is fine. However, it is also possible that the signal is affected by the cable between the player and the display device. So even though the display device says "I'm 4K" and the player sends the right signal with the right color depth etc., the cable can introduce losses, in which case the player reverts to a lower bandwidth mode. B. 1080p (HD), not 2160p (4K HD). The best way to test this is to use a shorter cable that's certified for speed and bit depth and see if it works. This 50 foot cable will definitely work with standard HD (1080p) at 4K. When playing 4K content, the TV reports an incoming 1080p signal (HD standard), not a 4K signal (2160p). Can't complain for the price of this cable, but it doesn't seem to support 4K. Revine Prime Ordered in the morning, received in the evening of the same day. Marvelous. However, unless I messed up the settings, I'll have to try a different cable (or approach) to get the 4K signal to the TV. I'll update this review after doing more testing to make sure I haven't confused anything. in the settings with the player and TV etc. Meanwhile, if you need 50ft for 1080p (HD), this cable will definitely fit and provide great signal quality for your TV. One thing I should mention is that this cable is slightly thicker than most HDMI cables (but not as thick or rigid as wall mount HDMI).

Pros

Cons
  • Miscellaneous other
