I wouldn't say this hat stretches. So if you like hats with elastic sides, this probably isn't the best choice for you. The material is VERY thick, so the hat keeps you very warm. The material is soft and comfortable and doesn't itch at all so I don't mind wearing it all day if I have to. High quality material, will not fade with washing, will not shrink with washing. As I have lots of hair I have had NO problems with the hat riding up on my head. So if you also have a lot of hair and don't like the hat slipping or coming off your head because of your hair then this really is the perfect hat for you. STAY ALL DAY! In short I would give this hat 4 stars out of 5 and I will definitely be buying it again in the future.
