Very comfortable shoes - the zipper is great because the shoe stays tight after being closed with the laces already tied. The design is good, not over the top but a bit trendy but simple. As I did so, I found myself using a damp cloth to wipe them off, and my hands turned black. In fact, you can also turn your hands black with paint while drying. If they get damp or wet, the paint will literally drip off these things. Depending on the amount, the color can easily be washed off. Unfortunately, washing your carpet or rug is not an easy or cheap solution anyway. I would love to buy these shoes again but this issue makes me wonder what other details have been left out in other shoes.
