Much better than I expected. The holders are very well made and, in contrast to the branded product, the collet and the barrel are knurled so that the blade can be clamped very tightly. The collet is metal, not plastic like some cheap knives. The blades appear to be of fairly good quality - I was expecting the blades to be inferior at this price point but they appear to be just as good as the established brands. I liked this set so much I bought a second one partly because my wife liked it too and picked up some of the parts of the first one. The assortment of blades in the second set differed from that in the first, so perhaps some discrepancy should be expected here. The only complaint is the ruler, which is a bit overlong at the zero end, making it impossible to get an accurate measurement by placing the end against something. Everything else is really good.
