I know, I know. I read the dimensions but my imagination still figured it would be a little bigger if that makes sense. The bowl I received looks solid and the base is level so it doesn't look like a low quality item stacked together. no idea if it was cast or bent into shape (maybe it says on the item page somewhere). You can see the connection points where the design band around the edge and the design band for the base were connected. not sure if it's welding or is there something like copper solder? The Yggdrasil tree isn't fully flush and not sure how it's attached. I mention this because it is an important point for longevity. What if the bowl ever gets hot? I hope the ash from the incense will negate this. There is also a problem if it ever falls off. Overall I'd say it's great for burning incense in a cone! looks great too! Sage packs require some tweaking (or do they make smaller sage packs?), the only improvements would be if they were about twice the size. Size is the main reason for 4 instead of 5, to be clear.
