I just started renting an office and I smelled gas. After the plumber and local gas company couldn't locate the leak, I decided to buy a detector and try it myself. I was very skeptical after reading the bad reviews on here, especially the ones that say it's very slow to show up. This is some nonsense! It took a minute to calibrate, and then things started to go haywire in my office. I took it outside just to see if it was a false positive, no, the external reading went to 0 within 15-30 seconds. So I took it back and it started to go away, faster than me my strong smelling ear. I went down to the basement and in 15 minutes found the source of the leak, a pipe going into the wall of my office. The detector is fast, the beeps and vibrations increase as you get closer to the gas source, and the screen provides excellent and accurate feedback. Wow, I'm more than impressed, I'm amazed (not sideways). It worked better than the professional one the gasman wore.
