Review on Tough 1 Royal Blue Large 600D Dog Blanket by Laurie Garcia

This coat is very well made with quality materials but it didn't fit my dog at all and I had to send it back. I didn't order it in a smaller size because after researching how it fits I realized that the smaller size wouldn't fit. Fiberfill insulation between the outer and inner layers, and it looked like a warm coat, but it was huge. I ordered on Wednesday based on the order guide based on measuring the length of the dog's back. My dog measured 16 inches from the base of his neck to the tip of his tail and met the guidelines for medium length. In fact, the average fur length was 17-1/2 inches, so this wasn't an issue. I liked the long length. The difficulty for me was that the sides of the coat measured 12 inches on each side, measured from the center of the back. So my dog's coat hung down to his knees. I didn't like the front closure on the coat either. This is a single strap with a buckle. I was expecting a strap plus velcro (I assumed the strap would be reinforcement over the velcro). Even at the shortest position of the strap (which only had 4 holes) the wool couldn't pull tight around the neck. When fastened in front, it turned out to be a cloak, flared downwards. That might be fine for a thick-chested dog, but not warm at all for a dog. with thinner fur. I advise everyone to look for more detailed company size charts before ordering. Then I found a dimensional grid on the web, in which the side dimensions of the fur coat are given. This along with a photo of how it should look at the dog would help me a lot with the correct fit and determining if it's the right coat. 3 stars for quality materials but very little info on fit and neck closure.
