Review on 🌬️ Aerostar Pleated MERV 13 16X25X1: High-Performance Air Filter for Improved Indoor Air Quality by Abdullah Huan

Poor quality, low airflow, noisy, weak

I have bought many air filters in my time and this one was very disappointing. I usually buy the best 3M filters and have always been very happy with them, but I chose these Aerostar filters to save some money. That was definitely a mistake. These Aerostar filters are loose fitting, thin and reduce airflow by at least 50%. When air first appeared after installing the Aerostar filter, I immediately noticed 4 things: 1) It was so thin that the filter literally buckled as air was pulled through it. 2) Every time the air was cycled on and off the filter would move due to a poor fit (yes I ordered the right size and never had this problem with 3M filters). 3) When the air was turned on, there was a noise in front of the filter that sounded like the air was struggling to get through (yes it was installed correctly and placed in the right direction. 4) Airflow was reduced by at least 50% I left the filter on for 4 days before having no choice but to remove it because the airflow was so terrible. The 3M filters I've bought in the past have had different filter strengths, with the lowest strength being the same as this Aerostar filter. . Some of the 3M filters were stronger and blocked smaller particles. None of these 3M filters ever had the problems I noticed with the Aerostar filter. These were solid filters that never had a major air reduction problem. I will be returning these Aerostar filters and going back to 3M.
