Review on 🎨 Art Alternatives Cutting Mat: Green/Black 9X12 - Essential Precision Tool for Artists and Designers by Heather Shaw

Please note that the rug is actually only 8" x 11" with a border of approximately 1/4 or 1/3 inch, i.e. the overall dimensions of the actual board still corresponds to just under 9x12 inches. I was hoping it would be 9 x 12 inches plus frame because I usually use A4 paper which *just* fits. I would like to send it back but it's not worth the shipping cost to me. The quality seems ok, I tried cutting the paper with a small knife and nothing came off, no unusual cuts or anything. I love that it's double sided, but at the edge you can see that there are three layers glued together. Or indeed five as mentioned in the description. The other two layers appear to be very thin outer layers (unless they're just painted on?). The mat also isn't as flexible as I'm used to, which is probably a good thing as it doesn't warp, but it's not as rubbery, so I'm not sure about the self-healing properties. Everything is fine, I needed something quick and it works - basically I just wish I knew about the sizes otherwise I would have gone up a size.
