I like it very much. The mat is thick and light. Says it's a self-healing cutting mat, but just to say that it heals itself for very small cuts. If the cut is deep it will not heal on its own, you will see the cut.

This is the second Art Alternatives cutting mat that I have purchased. I use them as mouse pads. They also serve their intended purpose well. The only negative I can give them is that at least one of them stank very badly when I received it. You know, that chemical smell from some plastic products. I am very pleased with my purchase of the Art Alternatives cutting mat.

Please note that the rug is actually only 8" x 11" with a border of approximately 1/4 or 1/3 inch, i.e. the overall dimensions of the actual board still corresponds to just under 9x12 inches. I was hoping it would be 9 x 12 inches plus frame because I usually use A4 paper which *just* fits. I would like to send it back but it's not worth the shipping cost to me. The quality seems ok, I tried cutting the paper with a small knife and nothing came off, no unusual cuts or anything. I love that it's
