I only got this card because I had a slot and because the Mac side of my Hackintosh build lost the ability to see one of my USB ports directly from the motherboard . I know I just need to do a USB remap on the Mac side, but I just don't feel like I have the time at the moment, and this setting is easily recognized on the Mac, and the USB ports work and also look like USB 3.0. This will definitely help me until I have time to sit down and do a remap. As for Windows, it's pretty much plug and play. So it came with a CD which I believe contains drivers, but since my build doesn't have a CD drive I never used it and I didn't have to download drivers for either Windows or Mac. If you just need to add Sub 3.0 ports on the back of your PC or are in a similar situation with USB mapping issues on your Macintosh, this seems like a very reasonable option at a good price.
