Review on Samsung QN65LS03RAFXZA Frame 65 Inch Compatibility by Brian Olson

Poor platform for viewing quality photos

I had high hopes for Samsung's 2019 version of the frame. I never intended to use the TV function at all [we have another good quality TV]. Photography is a serious hobby for me and I wanted to show [in random order] some of my best photos exported to Frame from Adobe Light Room. The image quality of my photos [large jpegs] on the frame was pretty good, but other than that the platform was very disappointing in terms of other features. I bought additional frame pieces but for a few hundred dollars the frame wasn't wide enough to make the rim look like a real photo frame. The frame itself only has 4GB of storage, which, as it turns out, can only hold about 65 high-quality JPEG photos. It seems easy to allocate more storage space. Instead of providing a Wi-Fi option to upload photos, the only way to upload photos is to use an external USB drive. The auto-rotate feature is limited in that the shortest interval is 10 minutes, and the worst thing is that the rotation only starts at the beginning of the photo you uploaded each time. No shuffling, random selection function. The ability to create a specific matte for each photo is great, but it would be better to have a default matte setting so you don't have to matt each photo individually. The sleep function is too sensitive and the bezel often turns off even after I adjust the settings. The motion sensor function is not sensitive enough and it takes a lot of movement in the room to turn on the frame. There is a setting to manually adjust the brightness and warmth, but I think the electronics could have been set to automatically adjust the brightness of the room. There were enough don'ts and restrictions on this device that I decided to return it. Overall I was seriously disappointed with this product.
