Compact size - Yes, but worm drive is even better - when the current stops, the rotation stops. It's like having a BRAKE built in at no extra cost. I just hope these engines are still for sale. They are ideal for opening blinds or sunroofs and for lifting (medium) heavy loads. With a PWM speed controller, they keep running at low speeds. I use one to power my turntable.
