So an honest assessment of these backpacks depends on what you intend to use them for. If it's just being nice or just walking then it's probably a 4 star product. However, they do have some issues when you actually use them (I wanted my little boys to carry their own food on a 5 day hike). The belts are not padded at all or not sufficiently padded where they are padded and will certainly cause irritation and annoyance over many kilometers. It's more of a 2 star rating for me, but if you just want them for very everyday use, they're definitely cute and pretty well made for that purpose. In addition, the small zipper backpacks were attached unevenly to the gray backpack, which means that the backpack can slip even with careful load distribution. But both backpacks had issues with movement, rendering them nearly useless. We couldn't get to the end of the driveway without aborting the mission. Each pooch had a small can of corn on each side - I mean a really small can - and the backpacks slipped, with or without light filling (socks)! 😅)
