I had a stroke 11 years ago. I did what most stroke victims do. tried to ignore that it happened and push through. After two years of that, I fell into a deep, dark depression. I came out of it this last December over 100 pounds heavier. I still had difficulty moving my right leg (but not impossible) and my right arm is totally dead, but I could walk. so walking I did! At first, I wasn't going very far (about half a mile) but each week, the number of laps grew (to about 6 miles a day at last count). I had my headphones on and (at least) tried to count my laps in my head. In the end, I got this KTRIO Metal Hand Tally Counter which takes my uncertainty and turns it into actual lap counting! I started out at 275 pounds, but I am down to 228.8 pounds (an still losing). It is my hope to again be 195 pounds and continue to feel the *click* of the Tally Counter as I continue to walk!
