Review on πŸ‘“ Lighted Reading Glasses, Tortoise: Enhancing Your Reading Experience with Style and Convenience by Devin Lukydoo

Have near or near/distance lenses been replaced? You might like these!

When I bought these glasses, they just didn't fit me. After cataract surgery, I found that I needed more light to read than before (although I have a Kindle, sometimes I just feel like reading a paper book). My lens implants are designed for both near and distance vision, so reading glasses are not required and in fact do not work at all. I then tried different reading lights at night, but none worked. I first bought a couple of headlamps but the focus of the light was too narrow and I found myself constantly turning my head instead of moving my eyes. Then I bought a book backlight, but this thing seemed only for hardcover books as it was constantly moving or falling off paperbacks and had to be constantly moved from left to right; spent more time adjusting the lights than reading. I then tried the clipboard with light, but again played around more with light than read. Then one day I accidentally discovered these lighted reading glasses in my bedside drawer and the light went out. not the real light, the light of the idea. I took the glasses to the store, grabbed a small hammer, smashed the lenses and pryed out the plastic bits. PERFECT! The backlighting of these glasses (no lens) provides enough light for night reading and magnification is no problem without lenses! They're not that handy for taking with you, but for reading in bed? PERFECT! frame of sufficient quality for occasional wear; lens quality? Well, I'm not judging the lens or the quality of the zoom, but I will say that breaking them wasn't that easy. As I haven't used them much I can't speak about the battery life either, but it was very easy to put batteries in and it was also very easy to turn on and off. If I break them, do I buy another pair? Definitive!

Pros
  • Do not turn on the "Book Light" while reading.
Cons
