Review on ⏱️ Black Vibration Hour Meter: Hardline Products HR-8065 by Nate Mims

Test the meter before permanently mounting it with screws.

I highly recommend that you test this gauge first with temporary tape or velcro before drilling any holes and securing it permanently with the included screws. The unit I received was faulty and seemed perfectly fine despite initializing and zeroing the display exactly as described in the instructions. I'm glad I did NOT just trust it at the time. After zeroing, I attached it to a flat horizontal surface with velcro for maximum sensitivity according to the instructions on a new 4-stroke inverter generator. After 5.5 hours of operation, 0.0 hours were still registered. Although the gauge from the generator was vibrating madly, it wasn't registering the time. I figured the velcro might be too cushioning for that, so I separated it from the velcro hook part and placed it directly on the generator's surface. nothing yet. I returned it for a refund. I guess I'm just an unlucky customer who got erroneous "1 in a thousand" meters, otherwise I would have given it 1 star. It's a great product concept and the waterproof design was the reason I originally bought it.
