Review on Fujitsu ScanSnap Versatile Enabled Document by Flee Pannell

I bought my first one about 12 years ago and it has lasted so long without a fault. This has allowed me to practically get rid of paper documents that we deal with on a daily basis - bank, financial and insurance reports, bills, receipts, medical records and permits, etc. etc. I've always waited for my original to break before I can get a new one , but it just doesn't die 😼. Eventually he stopped eating properly so I was able to get an iX1600. It appears to be just as well built as the older model but noticeably faster. These are great little workhorses for personal use and small businesses. The only criticism I have is that there are multiple options for scanning, document management and OCR software and their website to make it easy to find and choose the right one. The main ones are ScanSnap Home, a versatile document management system, and ScanSnap Manager, which basically scans with the various profiles you set up and works with separate applications to run OCR and other supporting functions like business cards. Read/Management. This gives you the freedom to set up and use your own document management system. The latter works best for me as I already have a viable system and workflow in place. Before I bought this iX1600 I had an earlier iX1500. I had to send it back because it got stuck after a firmware update which wasn't easy to fix. This gave me an opportunity to use their support services which I can now rate as excellent.
