Review on πŸ”₯ HM&FC 2x16 Aluminum Fiberglass Air Intake Tube Heat Shield - Adhesive Backed Heat Barrier (4 Rolls) by Andrew Schobinger

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Cheap "foil " is glued to cheap fiberglass tape.

This is junk, I was hoping for a good sealing tape to protect under the hood/car and a simple add on to protect the cables and wires "just in case" (this or similar is not an option for proper cable/hose shielding with an air gap). Looks great, easy to install, but once installed you stay tuned and can't get it back! "Aluminum" or "reflective coating" or whatever you want to call it, it's almost silver paint, thick and just as strong, every curve along the edge worn from the normal impact of the engine compartment. The glue does not have a long-term fixation, almost all edges lift even after wiping the panels with acetone/zelene. You'll have better luck with 3M aluminum tape, at least I know it works.

Pros
  • Exhaust and Emissions
Cons
  • Flamboyant
