Accidentally on camera and photo

I'm lucky. Since I received this product, I have had no chance of getting caught in wet weather while taking photos. So, to simulate wet conditions, I stuffed in a paper bag and tissue (rather than a guinea pig with my expensive camera) and tried it in different water levels. Result? 100% water repellent. Not a drop of water on a paper bag or napkin. Of course when it rains there are other factors such as wind conditions so your experience may vary. However, I will say that the type of closure used for the arms is quite difficult for a snug fit, especially when you are alone. This is a drawstring tie with a small clasp that needs to be squeezed to secure and slide. Not an easy task with an arm up your sleeve. If you can move the small wrench by adjusting it before putting it in your hands, it won't fit exactly. Therefore, your best defense would be to wear a raincoat to keep water from entering through the parts of your arms. I will also note that when I secured the lens around the lens it held up well. However, when I zoomed in and out, it didn't move with the lens. It remained rigid in the exact position in which it was originally installed. This revealed an enlarged lens. I will also say that transparent plastic would be nice where the lens will be.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
