I would give the manufacturer 5 stars but they sent me the wrong one. After examining the block, I noticed a red wire that had come loose from the surface of the light shield. The defect must have been discovered when the product was inspected before it was packed. Revain was informed of my non-lit bulb and promptly sent me a new, hopefully working, bulb. Didn't answer the question about the durability of the pears (bought two) because they were newly installed. These two bulbs really light up my entire 2+ car garage like daylight. They're not cheap, but they should actually be a lot cheaper to run than regular flashlights. They consume 40 watts each; Swapped two 150W bulbs. The build quality was below average. Twisted shavings from the drill and soldered red wire that had come loose from the material remained in the bulb body. The box the lamp comes in is very thick. The pear is difficult to take out of the packaging. I was treated well as a customer and the lamps meet everything I expected in terms of ambient light.
