I bought these shelves to use as storage in our caravan. They had to be light but strong. I love these shelves! Not only are they light and strong, they fold up to take up less space when not in use and hold together when stacked, which is essential for a caravan being towed over bumpy, windy roads . I like the height - about 8 inches - because it's taller than a lot of these shelves I've looked at and love the fact that I can stack or not which allows for different configurations: no shelves next to 2 shelves next to 3 shelves . . They also create a wider shelf when placed side by side, which was essential in our large and very deep closet. We were able to create a large shelf for large items simply by placing 2 shelves in a row. Storage flexibility is great! I can only recommend these shelves. They're a little pricey compared to some of the other shelves I've looked at, but they're worth the price.
