I got this for my office. My office is quite old and it smells like mold when I'm there. I've noticed that I always have a runny nose at work. I use about a box of tissues a week. I hate being there but I have to eat. My allergist advised me to get an air filter to see if that would help. After looking at several models and finding out if anyone had similar issues and if their air purifier worked. I went with this one to see if it helps. Well I've been using it for three days and my nose has stopped running in my office and the moldy smell is gone now. The device emits a slight odor, but it's very subtle and you won't even notice it. It's a fairly easy device to understand, so I didn't even bother to read the instructions. I put mine on the shelf in my office but I'm a bit afraid it will fall off. I hope to get the same positive result by placing it on the floor under my desk.
