I usually wear size 10 women's shoes. They were the right size. I wore them for a 4 day weekend at a lake in New Mexico. They protected my feet well from stones when I went into the water. However, they filled up with sand quickly and I had to constantly remove them to empty and rinse everything out. The light foam inserts look as if they were glued on, but they came loose when they first got wet. That's not necessarily a bad thing because it's easier to get all the sand out from under them. The rest of the structure held up well. I'll probably use them until they break and then look for a better quality replacement.
