Easy on the stomach, slightly sweet

See update below: --- I've had issues with other whey powders making me sick, I really wanted a protein powder that metabolized quickly to have a better one post workout recovery to achieve weights. I tried it hoping I wouldn't feel as bad as I did with other whey powders. It doesn't upset my stomach at all, I feel good after drinking it. YESHOO! The taste is a problem, I bought chocolate and it's too sweet, I definitely didn't like drinking it. I think mixing it with a bittering agent might help, and since I'm working out in the mornings I'll be using black coffee as a liquid base rather than just water. I hope this makes the taste more pleasant. I would give 5 stars if it tasted better, the texture was good and it blended easily. I'm not lactose intolerant so not sure why other whey powders have bothered me but I'm glad this one isn't being updated - The product has helped me recover from heavy weightlifting workouts so I'm ready again , to train . I'm 57 and I train to failure three days a week. I struggled and was only able to get in two hard workouts, but with this same brand of creatine powder I was back to three total body workouts a week. Flavor was an issue and after experimenting with different options I found the 'whey' that went in there to make it taste really good. Silk makes Cashew Almond Protein Milk that includes pea protein in two flavors: the original with 3 grams of carbs and the newer, sweeter one with 10 grams of carbs. I mix the 14 ounce low carb version with a scoop of Hydrowhey and add two ice cubes to keep it cold in an insulated metal shaker bottle. The result is a very tasty milk chocolate shake. The final product contains 47 grams of protein and 368 calories and only 7 grams of carbohydrates. If it fits your nutritional goals, this is a great and tasty protein shake. All without nausea! hoo hoo!
