The 940nm concept is black light. I use cameras in high traffic areas and any camera that emits red light will attract thieves. Not only does this camera light up red every time, it's also brighter than the LEDs on cameras that don't light up. Additionally, the SD card slot is external and only covered by a rubber cover that will wear out over time, making it less weatherproof when it comes to watering or rain.
