After scouring the house for an original Samsung remote, I reconciled myself to the thought that I would never connect the subwoofer to the soundbar again could. I was hesitant to buy an aftermarket universal remote because I figured it would either be limited in its features or would require additional setup. But no - instead I put in a few batteries right out of the box and it started working on the soundbar AND the TV (power) straight away. In less than a minute, I re-paired the subwoofer and re-enabled the auto-on feature. Like new.
