I'm probably not a music lover enough to comment on their specs. And there are websites that publish graphic images of the sound reproduction from headphones. As for this, and my personal experience. These are over-ear headphones that have a hard leather sleeve over the ear cups. I find that after a few hours they become quite uncomfortable. But that might be one reason I bought used ones, but the fact that they don't wear out might mean they're more comfortable than a new set. My pair arrived with no physical defects. I have a fairly large fleece hat which makes it more comfortable. As for the headband, I haven't noticed any discomfort after an hour of wearing it alone. The headband seems to distribute the weight well, rather than concentrating it on the top central region of the skull. They block most of the area. I wore them to work, the washing machine was loud and didn't spoil the music. At some points I still felt the need to turn the music down, especially when the device was off. The cord runs straight about 2 feet from the headphones and the rest of the way it curls up to the last 8 inches. On the adapter it is well secured in a high quality metal case with a spring that extends two inches to prevent the wire from twisting and thus breaking. Although I would like this spring to be more durable. The flexibility of the headphones means they fold well into a small travel bag, and the shells rotate a lot and very easily. I am concerned that too much portability may increase the risk of product breakage unless these hinges and pivots are well reinforced, but having bought them used the previous owner has given them sufficient care to avoid damage from regular use. .The general sound quality seems to be good. The highs, mids and lows don't sound unbalanced to me. Songs I used to only listen to on my EarPods or Logitech speakers always had a richer bass, so higher details went unnoticed. I prefer heavier bass, but they have good sound reproduction that doesn't make me feel like they need more bass. In terms of build quality, they're worth a full retail sale. In terms of sound, there might be devices that sound just as good for $100 that lack convenience and portability. But the sound quality is enough for me not to spend $300 on high-end Sony or Pioneer headphones. These are great headphones for beginner DJs or just those who have the money to buy good headphones. I spent a little over $100 on my used one and am happy with the purchase. Biggest disadvantage: no detachable cable. That's a big minus. But one that can be easily repaired by anyone with basic electronics repair and modification skills. They're cheap enough if they break bad enough that I want to replace them, but I can still use them, but I break them more often when I'm trying to fix them so I don't get upset about my mistakes) .
