I purchased this dock for use with a new Lenovo ThinkBook i7. It seems to work well, though I haven't tried to extend my desktop to outboard monitors. I'm basically using it as a port replicator and having good experience. I do have a problem trying to use a Plantronics BT adapter for a headset, it will connect when I first mount it, then it disconnects for some reason shortly after. I've tried every USB port on the dock and received the same response. This doesn't happen when the adapter is inserted in a USB port on the laptop itself. But, the laptop has BT onboard (though it isn't as solid as the little Plantronics adapter for some reason), so I'm just connecting directly - no big issue. Everything else I've connected worked as anticipated (HDD, Plantronics charger/dock, flash drive, iPhone, etc.), so I think it's likely a Plantronics issue moreso than one with the dock. The dock is super small for the port density, which I like. I've thought about velcroing it to my laptop display and it would work well like that. Couldn't beat the price. Are there better or more feature-rich docks? Sure, but my needs were basic - give me more ports with power - and the price was really great. I'm not using it in a "permanent" installation where a more feature-rich and larger dock would probably be more appropriate - I move my laptop around a lot and wanted the dock to be able to travel. It's perfect for that purpose.
