I have arthritis in my fingers. NSAIDs don't work that well and rubbing doesn't work for me at all. So I have it. bliss. After a long messy soak in wax, my hands felt amazing. My arms regained mobility and I was able to skip my pills at night. I intend to use this at night. But you need to plug it in and turn it on 2 hours before using. If there is unmelted wax, this will not help. Wax should only be liquid. It may be a good idea to cut the wax into chunks to speed up the process. DO NOT USE IN MICROWAVE PRINTING! Wax is wax and can cause severe burns if overheated. There are many nerve endings on the fingers. You will regret it. A downside is that it's dirty. Pieces of wax go everywhere quickly. Dropping the lid in the tub will make you feel bad. Some kind of oil is mixed in it, so just rubbing it is not effective. You need to wash it with soap and water. And finally, maybe it's me, but I happily wiped the wax off afterwards. Reminds me of my childhood when we poured Elmer's glue on our hands and peeled it off.
