I decided to do a small general maintenance on my truck. The air filter is one of the simplest and most important things to keep an eye on. I usually use high flow filters, you know them, but after reading the warnings from various mechanics I decided to stick with the original OEM filters. From what I've read, high flow filters use oil to trap dirt. Over time, this oil can contaminate some of the sensors and allow excessive dirt to enter the engine. This fram has more than enough airflow and dirt pick-up. I will lead them from now on.
