Review on πŸ”Œ TechMatte Charging Stand - Premium Aluminum Dock for Apple Pencil with Built-in 5ft Charging Cable by Tyler Born

Smart design, weighted to keep it going

Many computer accessories are light enough to be easily carried around or off your desk with the USB cable or even your own power cord. My consumer wireless routers have been pulled off the shelves due to the weight of the ethernet cables that connect to them. I have several broken antennas to prove it. They weight the base to make it more stable and it works. Apple's Pencil design has many surprising design flaws. Round shape with no sculptures that fits comfortably in the human hand, this $100 accessory rolls and rolls and rolls until it falls off any desk, stupid lid that dangles while charging, ridiculous stepping stone charging position if you've ever used your iPad use for charging. And then the fact that if you're holding a stylus with an iPad but not using it, it seems like it's constantly staying connected and communicating with the iPad, causing it to run out of juice when not in use . Now I try to separate them when I'm not using a pencil (I use the iPad pencilless a lot more than I use a pencil). If it's in a charger, it's more likely to not connect and be constantly dead. Not sure if it charges as fast or slower than the official Apple charger.
