They are strong enough to support a 60-inch Samsung LCD TV.
I'm a big fan of these mounts, I've only bought 3 of these mounts. One attaches with large drywall screws I bought from Home Depot and the other two are screwed in with the masonry screws that came with it. On drywall, they're strong enough to support a 60" Samsung LCD TV (your mileage may vary, be careful!). On brickwork I think you could probably hang them yourself, they're so sturdy. They work very well with a thin TV like the Samsung 8000 series - they sit flush against a wall even when viewed from the side. Of course, you don't have pan and tilt functionality, but you can adjust the TV to stand horizontally. Either way, they're easy to install and look great, and at this price point, I highly recommend them!
