This is a power tool. Respect this, otherwise you can easily hurt yourself. Read all instructions before use. I finally had a reason to use Augur as I had a slow main drain that only worked with a large load of laundry. I used a spiral nozzle. The spiral nozzle was not inserted into the end of the snake. The mounting insert was too thick. It took about 30 minutes to install the nozzle. I resorted to using a hammer to join the pieces together. Once I did that, the Augur worked exactly as stated. I bought this Augur when it was on sale. It saved me a lot of money doing it myself instead of calling a plumber. This augur pierced through the blockage, pulled out most of it and cleared out the rest. I've used almost all of the snake frames. This is very dirty work, but it can be made easier if you turn on forced rotation. Warning: Don't hold the snake too tight while you have activated the power rotation. The snake tends to grab the glove fabric and twist it. If this happens, don't panic. Immediately release the pedal, take your hand off the glove, unwrap the glove. This has happened to me twice. Some people have complained about the weight, but it must be that heavy or the machine will tip over when the power is turned on.
