I would rate these as 'average', as a bit of coffee ground gets through the metal baskets into the beverage. I would suggest tracking down some filters designed for these. I tried cutting down some full size paper filters, and poking down in the basket, but the water pressure from the Keurig caused the grounds to just push up and around the paper filter, so still had grounds in the coffee. (Now, I always ground my beans very fine, so haven't tried a coarse ground yet. But, as there were no instructions of any sort with this, who knows what's recommended <shrug>)
